An article published on January 20, 2016 by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) informs about a newly launched platform to retrieve information on chemicals used in Europe. Information is available for 120,000 chemicals and can be accessed in three different formats: 1) The infocard provides key information on a chemical substance including common uses, hazardous properties, and recommended precautions; 2) the brief profile contains more detailed information on the chemical’s environmental behavior, effects on human health, and physico-chemical properties; and 3) the source data includes the raw data submitted by companies to ECHA in REACH registration dossiers and notifications to the classification and labeling inventory.
