In an article published on May 4, 2017 the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) informed that it will renew its current Scientific Panel on Food Contact Materials, Enzymes, Flavourings and Processing Aids (CEF) by July 2018, which will then be replaced by the Panel on Food Contact Materials, Enzymes and Processing Aids (CEP) (FPF reported). EFSA is seeking experts in food technology, food microbiology, toxicology, or human epidemiology, with “experience in assessing chemical risks and consumer exposure to chemicals in the food chain” to join the new CEP Panel. The application procedure opens on June 1 and closes on September 8, 2017.
