In an article published on May 18, 2016 the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) announced that it is renewing its Scientific Panels on Food Additives and Nutrient Sources Added to Food (ANS Panel) and on Food Contact Materials, Enzymes, Flavourings and Processing Aids (CEF Panel) by July 1, 2017. EFSA is looking for scientists with expertise in chemical risk assessment. The ANS and CEF Panel carry out evaluations mainly in response to industry applications related to food ingredients and packaging. The deadline for applications is June 30, 2016.
