On April 9, 2014 the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a press release announcing the completion of the bisphenol A (BPA) evaluation by the end of 2014. The second part of the scientific opinion on BPA assessing the human health risks of the chemical was published in January 2014 and public consultation for this document has been closed. A follow-up meeting on the public consultation will be held on April 23, 2014 (FPF previously reported).
