EFSA has invited scientists to meet on the 7 and 8 November in Parma to debate the latest advances in risk assessment and risk assessment methodologies in the area of food contact materials (FCM) among others. Experts will unite to evaluate developments during the past ten years and address key challenges and opportunities for harmonization. Apart from FCMs, enzymes, flavorings and processing aids, plant health, plant protection products and their residues, genetically modified organisms, additives and products or substances used in animal feed, animal health, biological hazards, contaminants in the food chain, food additives and nutrient sources added to food and nutrition will also be discussed. The conference will consist of scientific lectures as well as open scientific debate.
