On March 25, 2015 the European Commission (EC) announced it had launched a series of roundtable meetings with stakeholders in Brussels, Belgium following the publication of responses to the public consultation on endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) (FPF reported). The first meeting on March 25, 2015 shall focus on the impact assessment process that aims to pave the way for a proposal on the definition of criteria to identify EDCs. The second and third meeting will take place on April 23 and 24, 2015 with the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and EU Member States, respectively. In order to get further updates on the impact assessment process and to exchange views on the topic, a conference on EDCs will take place on June 1, 2015 in Brussels, Belgium. Parties from within and outside the EU will be invited to participate.
