In October 2017, the European Commission’s (EC) Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) published the presentation of the latest meeting of the Working Group on food contact materials (FCMs) of the toxicological safety section of the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed (SC-PAFF). The meeting was held on September 15, 2017 in Brussels, Belgium. Items on the agenda included, amongst others, the revision of the ceramics Directive 84/500/EEC, the EU measure on printed FCMs (FPF reported), the draft measure on bisphenol A (BPA, CAS 80-05-7) in FCMs (FPF reported), plastics recycling, and the 10th amendment to the plastic FCM Regulation (EU) No 10/2011.
