On January 26, 2016 the European Parliament (EP) is hosting a two-hour workshop on “Food contact materials – How to ensure food safety and technical innovation in the future?” in Brussels, Belgium. Speakers include among others Chantal Bruetschy from the European Commission’s (EC) Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE), Gregor McCombie from the Food Safety Authority Zurich, Switzerland, Anne Marie Vinggard from the National Food Institute at the Danish Technical University (DTU Food), Lisette van Vliet from Health & Environment Alliance (HEAL), and Malene Teller Blume from retailer group Coop Nordic.
