On September 22, 2015 the Food Packaging Forum is hosting a thematic apéro in Zurich to discuss sustainability of food packaging. The event is part of the Zürich Isst thematic month and co-organized together with GreenBuzz. The evening event will feature short inputs from a retailer, food industry leaders, as well as two start-ups from the packaging value chain and a scientific expert. Speakers will give an overview of scientific challenges and share their company’s practice story about food packaging and sustainability. Different, sometimes conflicting aspects of sustainability will be highlighted, e.g. CO2 reduction, shelf life, recycling, chemical food safety, and biodegradability.
