In an article published on June 29, 2017, the European Commission (EC)’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) announced the launch of a new online platform named “JRC Data Catalogue.” The regularly updated platform provides free access to JRC-generated data on various topics, including “agriculture and food security, economy, environment and climate as well as health and consumer protection.” The data can be “used for further research, reproduced and shared,” provided the source is properly cited.
The JRC data collection is part of the “EU Open Data Portal,” which is “the single point of access to a growing range of data produced by the EU institutions.”
