On March 5, 2014, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) published the report of the expert meeting that took place from January 29 – 31, 2014 in Berlin, Germany. The experts present at the meeting determined that test guidelines 201, 211, 222, 225, 305, 315 and 317 were applicable to engineered nanomaterials, but considered test guideline 105 not appropriate. Also, the report states that test guideline 106 does not appropriately differentiate between adsorbed and not adsorbed engineered nanomaterials. The report makes recommendations on “data analysis, acceptable loss of the engineered nanomaterials during the test, endpoints, test procedure, selection of the test media [and] target organism” for each of the test guidelines.
