NY Times on EDCs

An op-ed by Nicholas Kristof published on 25 August 2012 calls for more action on endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). In his article, Kristof states that EDCs are not a mainstream topic “It’s not the kind of thing that we in the news media cover much.” The reason for this according to him is that “they involve complex science and considerable uncertainty”. Apart from the need for more and better regulatory oversight Kristof also discusses a new study on BPA, showing transgenerational effects of this food packaging substance, due to epigenetic changes.
