On November 20, 2014 EDC-Free Europe initiated an open letter signed by representatives of 19 European health and environment organizations to the President of the European Commission (EC) Jean-Claude Juncker. The letter calls for urgent action to minimize exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). This necessary action will help prevent EDC-related conditions and therefore create lasting benefits for productivity and health budgets in the EU, as emphasized in the letter. Further, the authors demand the release of the delayed EDC strategy and express their concerns about the public consultation on EDCs launched by the EC (previously reported on by the FPF).
