On February 22, 2017 the regulatory news provider Chemical Watch published an article summarizing the challenges caused by legal uncertainties of the European regulations on biocides and food contact materials (FCMs). The two authors, Anna Gergely and Gyöngyi Dávid of the international law firm Steptoe & Johnson, emphasize the complicated legal situation regarding these two regulatory regimes and describe the current approach proposed by the European Commission (EC).
