On February 19, 2014 the Dutch non-governmental organization Women in Europe for a Common Future (WECF) will launch the ‘ChildProtect-Life’ project, which is intended to accelerate the implementation of EU environmental regulations addressing endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). At the launching, WECF will discuss EDC related policies with senior European scientists, representatives from the Commission and the European Parliament as well as NGOs. In December 2013, the European Commission recently missed the deadline for the publication of EDC criteria (previously reported on by the FPF). The delay is anticipated to amount to one year.
