On February 2, 2015 the European Commission (EC) published the responses received to the public consultation on endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). In total, the EC received 27 087 responses (22 411 from the online consultation and 4 676 via email). The majority of responses were submitted via online campaigns that aimed to simplify the participation in the consultation for general public (FPF reported). A total of 142 replies were not published due to their confidential nature. Furthermore, all email submissions were withheld, as respondents did not give an indication regarding confidentiality of their responses. However, the EC will provide a summary of these responses in due course. The public consultation shall provide information relevant for the impact assessment on the EDC criteria to be carried out by the EC.
