An article published on March 14, 2017 by Newswise based at the University of Missouri reviewed a new book titled “Integrative Environmental Medicine”. The volume, edited by Aly Cohen from Integrative Rheumatology Associates, Monroe Township, U.S., and Frederick vom Saal from University of Missouri, Columbia, U.S., is scheduled for publication by Oxford University Press in March 2017.

The book provides an overview of the history of industrial chemical use and increase in environmental chemical pollution, along with a comprehensive account of current scientific understanding of how these chemicals may affect human health. It further summarizes the approaches and tools that physicians and their patients can use to reduce exposure and health risks.
