On December 13, 2016 the European Commission’s (EC) Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) published the latest revised draft criteria to identify endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). The EC first proposed draft criteria for identification of EDCs on June 15, 2016 (FPF reported) and released revised draft criteria on November 15, 2016 (FPF reported). In meetings held on November 18 and November 29, 2016 the EC discussed the revised EDC criteria with EU Member States and the European Parliament’s Environment Committee (ENVI), respectively (FPF reported). The next meeting with experts and Member States is scheduled for December 21, 2016 with the aim to discuss the most recent version of the revised criteria “which considers the latest comments received from Member States.”
