On April 11, 2013 the non-governmental organization ChemSec announced that it will launch an updated, more user friendly version of its Substitute it Now! (SIN) list on October 8, 2014. The SIN list contains chemicals that qualify for the Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) list issued by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). The new update will include a number of chemicals that ChemSec identified to emerge as meeting the SVHC criteria (article 57, REACH). The update is to be published together with a meeting on “Innovation and inspiration” organized on October 8, 2014 in Brussels, Belgium by ChemSec.
