The Food Packaging Forum is a charitable foundation under Swiss law, established in mid-2012. The Food Packaging Forum works according to our set principles.
Donations to the Food Packaging Forum are made unconditionally, and donors do not have any say in how we work, what we focus on, or what and how we communicate.
We welcome donations from anyone wishing to support our work.
Our current donors are Ardagh Glass Packaging, BA Glass, Bucher Emhart Glass, Consol, OI, Vetropack, Verallia and Vidrala. The Food Packaging Forum has received project-related funding from Environmental Defense Fund, the European Commission via the Horizon 2020 research funding program, European Environmental Health Initiative, Fondation Didier et Martine Primat, Fondation Valery, Gallifrey Foundation, Greengrants, H M Stiftung, MAVA Foundation, Minderoo Foundation, Minerva Stiftung, Norwegian Research Council, Plastics Solution Fund, Spronck Foundation, Sympany Foundation, Tides Foundation, Wilsdorf Mettler Future Foundation, as well as from other private donors.

All of the Foundation’s funds are controlled by the independent foundation board and used in line with the foundation’s registered and charitable purpose:
- to carry out research that establishes the evidence base for how food contact chemicals, materials and articles impact health and the environment
- to provide balanced and high quality scientific information on food contact chemicals and materials, and their impacts on human health and the environment
- to increase scientific awareness for food contact chemicals and adverse human health and environmental impacts concerning all types of food contact materials and articles
- to establish a platform for a dialogue on food contact chemicals and health between all stakeholders
The Food Packaging Forum is not a grant making foundation.
