On the website of the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology, details are now available for the 3rd Joint Symposium on Nanotechnology taking place in Stuttgart, Germany on April 9th and 10th, 2019. Topics at the symposium “range from nanotechnology in medicine to applications in the food industry or water treatment to applications in the field of energy and construction.” The full program includes talks on the release of nanoparticles from food packaging, risk assessment of nanotechnologies in the food chain, and regulation of nanomaterials in food.

The symposium is run in partnership by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR). Registration is now open on the event’s website.
