On January 26, 2015 the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) announced it will host a symposium on nanotechnology jointly with the Fraunhofer Food Chain Management Alliance (FCMA) and Nanotechnology Alliance (NANO). The symposium will take place on 5-6 March, 2015 in Berlin, Germany. At the two-day symposium, presentations will also cover topics related to food contact materials (FCMs) such as the EFSA guidance on nanomaterials and migration potential of nanomaterials in food contact plastics. The event is free of charge and open to the public, however, registration by February 15, 2015 is required.
