In an article published on August 9, 2018, by regulatory news provider Chemical Watch, reporter Ellen Tatham informed that China’s National Registration Centre for Chemicals (NRCC) has launched an information platform on hazardous chemicals. The system can be searched for “hazardous chemical registrants and their registered products,” she explained. A trial phase is foreseen until October 2019 after which the system will be “fully operational,” Tatham further reported. The information is available in Chinese.

In particular, the platform provides information on classifications for chemicals, according to China’s Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals, as well as GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals) classifications and characteristics. The platform can be searched by GHS classifications, English names, Chinese names, and CAS numbers.
