On October 9, 2017, European Commission’s (EC) Directorate-General for Environment launched a public consultation on its draft regulation “Amendments of the Annexes to REACH for registration of nanomaterials,” open until November 6, 2017. A feedback period for another nanomaterials-relevant EC consultation, namely on nanomaterial definition, has just closed on October 13, 2017 (FPF reported).

As Chemical Watch informed in the article published on October 12, 2017, both consultations may be discussed at the next meeting of the Competent Authorities Sub-Group on Nanomaterials (CASG-Nano), “expected to be in November [2017].”
