The Food Packaging Forum is pleased to announce two new speakers for the “Threshold of Toxicological Concern (TTC) for risk assessment of food contact material chemicals” workshop, which will take place October 17, 2013 in Zurich, Switzerland. Claudia Heppner, head of EFSA’s food ingredients and packaging unit, and Olwenn Martin, post-doctoral research fellow at the Institute for the Environment, Brunel University, confirmed their participation as speakers at the TTC workshop. Claudia Heppner will present on the assessment of non-intentionally added substances in food contact materials. Olwenn Martin will speak about safety factors in chemical risk assessment, a topic about which she also recently published an article in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Environmental Health.
The workshop is open for registration. Registration fees are CHF 150,- for regular participants and CHF 50.- for students.
