On February 9, 2018, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a technical report on the “Outcome of the public consultation on the draft opinion providing clarification of some aspects related to genotoxicity assessment.” EFSA held a public consultation on its draft opinion on the evaluation of the genotoxicity of substances in food and feed from July 24 to September 6, 2017 (FPF reported). 216 comments from 18 interested parties were submitted. The report “presents statistics on the comments received and provides a summarized description of how the comments were addressed in the finalization of the document.” The final scientific opinion on genotoxicity assessment was published on December 18, 2017 (FPF reported).
