On November 28, 2016 the European Food Safety Authority’s (EFSA) Panel on Food Contact Materials, Enzymes, Flavourings and Processing Aids (CEF Panel) published the latest update of the meeting minutes of its Working Group (WG) on Recycling Plastics. The 14th meeting of the plastics recycling WG was held on November 7-8, 2016 in Parma, Italy. During the meeting, five draft opinions on the following polyethylene terephthalate (PET) recycling processes for materials and articles for direct food contact were discussed: EREMA, Plastienvase, 4PET, Alimpet, and Pegra-V.
The minutes of previous meetings of the plastics recycling WG can also be found in the document published by the CEF Panel. The next meeting of the WG is scheduled to take place on January 17-18, 2017 in Parma, Italy.
