The Endocrine Society has launched a project called “Endocrine Facts and Figures”, which is a compendium of epidemiological data and trends related to endocrine diseases. So far, the project covers four chapters of endocrinology: Obesity, thyroid, diabetes, and bone and calcium. Five further chapters – cardiovascular and lipid, hypothalamic-pituitary, adrenal, cancers and neoplasias, and reproductive and developmental – will be made available later in 2015. The presented data are compiled from peer-reviewed publications and reviewed by a group of experts in the field.
