In an article published on November 6, 2018, by regulatory news provider Chemical Watch, correspondent Clelia Oziel informed that the European Commission (EC) will adopt a communication “outlining its long-awaited framework on endocrine disrupting chemicals [(EDCs)]” on November 7, 2018. In June 2018, the EC published a roadmap for an EU framework on EDCs and announced plans to prepare a communication (FPF reported). The communication will be “adopted at a meeting of the college of commissioners” and “a technical briefing [will] be held immediately after the college meeting,” Oziel reported.

The NGOs called for concrete actions to reduce exposure to EDCs and highlighted the importance of addressing EDCs across all EU legislations.
