On October 5, 2017, the Food Packaging Forum (FPF) held its fifth annual workshop in Zurich, Switzerland, focusing on “Scientific challenges in the risk assessment of food contact materials.”
Dr. Thomas Gude, Deputy Head of Swiss Quality Testing Services (SQTS), Switzerland, explained how independent third-party testing labs contribute to enforcing food contact materials (FCMs) regulations (FPF reported). In a short interview, he highlighted that third-party testing labs provide an independent second opinion regarding the regulatory compliance of a product.
