On April 25, 2017, at 02:00 pm CEST, the Food Packaging Forum (FPF) will hold a public webinar on food contact materials (FCM) regulation in China.

New regulatory requirements for food packaging and other articles that come into contact with foods are entering into force in China in April and October 2017 (FPF reported). This webinar will provide background information on the rationale for the new regulations, discuss main differences to existing food contact regulations in Europe and the U.S., and explain how enforcement will be carried out to ensure compliance with the new regulations.

Dr. Marco Zhong, director of the National Reference Laboratory for Food Contact Materials in Guangdong, China and chairman of the Expert Committee for Food Contact Materials of the China National Food Industry Association, will be speaking. After Dr. Zhong’s presentation there will be time for questions.
