Health Canada (the Canadian Health Ministry) reaffirmed its earlier conclusion that dietary exposure to Bisphenol A (BPA) is not thought to pose a health risk to the population.

These estimates of dietary exposure are 3- to 4-fold lower than earlier estimates, due to refined testing methods. Rather than using estimates of food simulants, the new assessment was based on consumption patterns elucidated by a survey as well as the measurements of contamination of more than a hundred food commodities.
