On June 29, 2018, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published a proposed rule in the U.S. Federal Register regarding its predictive toxicology roadmap (FPF reported).

FDA announced that it will hold a public hearing on the roadmap on September 12, 2018, “seeking comments on how to foster the development and evaluation of emerging toxicological methods and new technologies and incorporate these methods and technologies into regulatory review, as applicable.” Registration for the public hearing is open until August 29, 2018. After the public hearing, FDA will accept electronic or written comments until October 12, 2018.
