On June 12, 2020, the European branch of the International Life Sciences Institute (ISLI Europe) will hold a webinar under the title “Food packaging: is it just for protection or is there more to it?” It will feature a presentation from An Vermeulen and Peter Ragaert from Pack4Food and the University of Ghent on the “balance between functionality, convenience and sustainability of food packaging” as well as a second presentation by Thomas Gude from Swiss Quality Testing Services (SQTS) on the “activities of the Packaging Materials Task Force of ILSI Europe.” The event aims to “explore key concepts in food packaging functionality, convenience and how those aspects can be balanced with sustainability and safety.” Registration is free.
