On April 24 and May 12, 2015 the European Commission’s (EC) Directorate General for Health and Food Safety (DG Sante) will hold the second and third roundtable meetings, respectively, to discuss the planned impact assessment on criteria to identify endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). During the first meeting that took place on March 25, 2015 the EC announced it would screen 700 potential EDCs (FPF reported). The second and third meetings with EU Member States and Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), respectively, will take place in Brussels, Belgium. The roundtables will provide information on the EU roadmap to set criteria to identify EDCs and an update on the public consultation and next steps. Furthermore, on-going studies in the context of the impact assessment and next steps will be presented together with detailed information about the upcoming conference on EDCs (FPF reported).
