In August 2016 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hosting several public meetings on the implementation of the updated Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) as amended by the Lautenberg Chemical Safety Act (LCSA) on June 22, 2016 (FPF reported).

Meetings on the risk evaluation process and chemical prioritization will be held on August 9 and 10, respectively, where EPA is looking for input to inform proposed rules. On August 11-12, EPA will consult with chemical manufacturers and processors to inform the development of a proposed rule on the establishment of potential fees under the new TSCA. The meetings will take place in Washington, D.C., U.S., and will also be available by remote access for registered participants. Registration and more information can be found on EPA’s website.
