On September 6, 2017, the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) published the SimpleBox4nano model enabling calculation of concentrations of engineered nanoparticles in water, soil, and air. The work was published on April 25, 2014 in the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Science & Technology. The model can be used to “determine the distribution of nanoparticles in the environment and the risks to human health.” SimpleBox4nano is available for download on RIVM’s website.
