On January 8, 2014 the U.S. Interstate Chemicals Clearing House (IC2) released the IC2 Alternatives Assessment Guide, which allows manufacturers to assess chemical alternatives for environmental and public health safety. The guide contains a set of tools that can be used to improve the evaluation of toxic chemicals and was developed in cooperation with industry and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The guide is accompanied by a 2 Response-To-Comment (RTC) documents, which include comments received throughout the development of the guide and the IC2’s responses to them. The IC2 is an association of state, local and tribal government aiming to promote the environment, health and economy.
