On July 17, 2014 the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published the “Fourth National Report on Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals, Updated Tables”. The report includes previously published updates from July 2010 through September 2013. A total of 298 chemicals are now listed, whereby some chemicals previously measured individually are now measured in pooled samples, and others, which were largely undetectable in previous survey periods, are no longer reported. The updated tables further contain 39 new chemicals including the phthalate alternative 1,2-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid diisononyl ester (DINCH, CAS 166412-78-8 and 474919-59-0). In Europe, DINCH is authorized for use in plastic food contact materials under regulation EC 10/2011.
