On November 4, 2013 the Nanotechnology Industries Association (NIA) launched the Regulatory Monitoring Database, a new web tool allowing the monitoring of nano-specific regulations and standards worldwide. The service is free for NIA members, non-NIA members can subscribe to the service. According to the press release published by NIA on November 4, 2013 the database intends to support businesses in understanding and anticipating nano-specific developments. The database is color coded for the ease of use and provides information about key actors, main dates, nano-relevant quotes and historical developments.
