On April 28, 2017 the non-profit organization Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) published a podcast entitled “Plasticizers, fast food, and your urine.” Jonathan Choi and Jennifer McPartland from EDF Health talked to Dr. Ami Zota from the George Washington University, U.S., about her 2016 study on fast food consumption as a source of exposure to phthalates. Zota and colleagues had found that people with the highest consumption of fast food had elevated levels of phthalate metabolites in their urine as compared to non-consumers (FPF reported).
