The European Chemicals Agency’s (ECHA) Committee for Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC) released its draft opinions on the restriction proposals for bisphenol A (BPA, CAS 80-05-7) in thermal paper and for pentadecafluorooctanoic acid (PFOA, CAS 335-67-1), its salts and PFOA-related substances, as well as articles and mixtures containing these substances in September 2015 (FPF reported). A public consultation on both SEAC draft opinions is being held – comments can be submitted here until November 16, 2015.
