On September 7, 2017 the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published two technical reports on the outcomes of public consultations on two recent guidance documents: The guidance on the assessment of the biological relevance of data and the guidance on the use of the weight of evidence approach in scientific assessments, both published on August 3, 2017 (FPF reported). The public consultations were open from March 6 to May 1, 2017. For the guidance on the biological relevance of data, EFSA received 218 comments from 17 parties; for the guidance on the weight of evidence approach, 154 comments from 20 parties were submitted. The reports provide statistics as well as summarized descriptions of the received comments and how EFSA addressed them.
