On October 5-6, 2016 the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) is hosting the REACH Congress 2016. Special focus will be on consumer protection under REACH as well as authorization of substances of very high concern (SVHCs) as a tool of chemicals regulation. The congress will provide an overview of the progress made under REACH in terms of consumer protection and outline opportunities for improvement of the REACH regulation and its implementation regarding consumer safety and the authorization process.
