On January 16, 2019, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) notified that it intends to “to prepare an Annex XV restriction dossier concerning the use of intentionally added microplastic particles to consumer or professional use products of any kind.” This is being done at the request of the European Commission (EC).
The notification notes that “[s]takeholders are requested to provide relevant information to ECHA during the Annex XV Restriction Dossier process, either in any call for evidence or separately during the process.”
