On May 16, 2018, a round table discussion on “Food packaging in the circular economy: making health and environment a priority” will be held at the European Parliament. The event is organised by Safe Food Advocacy Europe (SAFE) in the framework of the LIFE program 2018-2019 managed by the European Commission (EC).
Health and environment experts, employees of non-government organizations, and EU officials will focus on food packaging in the circular economy. They will present best practices based on their expertise, and discuss the health and environmental impact of current packaging systems as well as challenges and opportunities in achieving the priorities proposed in the Plastic Strategy of the EC.
Registration is open until May 11, 2018.
