On September 24, 2018, the first stakeholder workshop on the European Commission’s (EC) evaluation of the EU legislation on food contact materials (FCMs) will take place in Brussels, Belgium. The EC’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) published the roadmap for the evaluation in December 2017 (FPF reported) and a stakeholder consultation period will run from September 2018 to July 2019 (FPF reported).
The agenda of the stakeholder meeting as well as a workshop document can be found on DG SANTE’s website dedicated to the evaluation of FCM legislation. A webstream of the workshop will also be made available.
