A study published on March 26, 2013 in the journal Food Chemistry finds antimony migration from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic, but measures levels to be well below the official EU safety limits (Sánchez-Martínez et al. 2013). The FPF reports on the study and sounds a note of caution regarding a premature dismissal of any antimony related safety concerns.
