In an article published on November 22, 2018, regulatory news provider Chemical Watch informed that “the Canadian government has launched a survey of quaternary ammonium compounds (quats or QACs) which are used as biocidal agents in various applications.” The survey “applies to approximately 800 inanimate (chemical) substances” and aims “to collect basic information from manufacturers and importers on quantities, concentrations and uses, to determine their commercial status and establish a national inventory.” The responses can be submitted until April 24, 2019.
