On November 30 and December 1, 2017, the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), the Korean National Institute of Food and Drug Safety Evaluation (NIFDS), the French Agency for Food, Environment and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES), and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) will host a joint international symposium on “Global past, present and future challenges in risk assessment – Strengthening consumer health protection” in Berlin, Germany. The two-day symposium will “discuss current activities and future issues in consumer health protection such as microbiological agents, chemical substances, methodologies and harmonization on national and international levels.” The speaker presentations will address, amongst others, food safety, endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), nanomaterials, and chemical mixtures.
